Setting Up Card Slot as Memory Card Drive of Computer

If the printer and computer are connected via USB, the card slot of the printer can also be used as the memory card drive of the computer.

  1. Check that printer is turned on.

  2. Make sure memory card is not set.

    If the memory card is set, remove it from the card slot.

  3. Select (Setup) on the HOME screen.

  4. Select Printer settings.

    The Printer settings screen is displayed.

  5. Select Other printer settings.

  6. Select Read/write attribute.

  7. Check message that is displayed and select OK.

  8. Select a read/write attribute to specify setting.

    Writable from USB PC

    Data can be written on the memory card from the computer. You will be unable to print photos from a memory card using the operation panel while this mode is selected.

    Write-protected from PC

    The card slot is used only for reading. Be sure to revert to this mode when printing photos from a memory card using the operation panel.

    Important

    • When Writable from USB PC is selected, the auto power off setting is inactive.

    • Writable from USB PC will be cancelled when the printer is turned off. The next time the printer is turned on, the settings will return to Write-protected from PC.

    • Perform the removal procedure on the computer before removing the memory card from the printer. Next, revert Read/write attribute to Write-protected from PC.
